“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate (Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Guide) – (John 14:16 NIV)
Many of us have practised speaking to God the Father and the Lord Jesus most of the time. But it is equally important that we recognise the Holy Spirit Who dwells in us and commune with Him often and tell Him everything, as well. We need to talk to Him every day.
With the same degree of respect you have been talking to the Father and the Lord Jesus, talk to the Holy Spirit. Address Him with recognition and reverence. He is the conveyor of the presence and the blessings of God. He is the One Who manifests God’s presence and power wherever He wants it.
You must understand that this awesome personality of the Godhead lives in you and wants to communicate with you always. Know for sure that every time you pray to the Father or talk to the Lord Jesus, it is the Holy Spirit Who responds.
The Holy Spirit responds to the Name of Jesus, and He also fulfills the requests made to the Father. Therefore, you need to recognise and commune with Him as the doer of the work. 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV) says, “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” Fellowship here means communion as well, and we commune with the Holy Spirit!
Talk to the Holy Spirit regularly because we are called to cultivate a relationship with Him. Encourage yourself in this practice. You’ll be amazed at how impactful and fulfilling your life will be. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, your life will propel from glory to glory. Hallelujah!
